FAQ

1. What is the difference between CollaTan TM lamps and the other traditional tanning lamps?

The CollaTan TM lamps, similarly to traditional tanning lamps, emit a long-wawe light of that kind, which produces pigmentation in human skin (indirect pigmentation) i.e. generates tanning of pigments (direct pigmentation): it means it embrowns. In addition to that, the light of CollaTan TM lamps contains such kind of long wawe red light too (618-633 nm), which induces the production of Collagen in human skin, i. e. it helps the regeneration of wounds and scars through its antiphlogistic effect.
Due to production of collagen the skin becomes again hydrogenated, its touch will be soft and silky, so the general appereance of skin gets younger.

2. What is Collagen?

Collagen is a natural protein, which supports the structure of primary tissues of human body: the structure of connective tissues. The Collagen ensures the elasticity of organs and tissues of human body. 75 % of human skin is built up from Collagen, and altogether 30 % of proteins of human body consists of Collagen.
Collagen is a natural component of joints, gristles, hair, skin, nails, and organs of vital importance.

3. How do help CollaTan TM lamps to produce Collagen?

The CollaTan TM lamps emit long wawe light of those kind, which induces the reproduction of Collagen in human skin, and therefore promotes its favorable effects.

4. What kind of long wawe light is emitted by Collatan TM lamps, and what are the effects of it?

The Collatan TM lamps are unique in those respect, that they emit long wawe light of 618-633 nm too, belonging to visible red light range, besides UVA and UVB wawes, emitted by traditional tanning lamps, promoting the process of tanning.
This range of red light induces the production of Collagen in human skin, i.e. it has an antiphlogistic effect.

5. Does exist an authentic study, confirming the favorable effect of red light onto human skin?

Yes, it exists a study in English, the original title of it is: „A Controlled Trial to Determine the Efficacy of Red and Near-Infrared Light Treatment in
Patient Satisfaction, Reduction of Fine Lines, Wrinkles, Skin Roughness, and Intradermal Collagen Density Increase”
